Truax Ore Car Tagdenver Coloradoearly Model Ore CarOffered here is one of the hardest to find of the five different truax ore car brass tags. Notes the location of truxa as being located on wazee street in denver, colorado. This tag predates the typical round truax ore car tags, that note teh city of san francisco, stockton (globe iron works) and denver the only one earlier that i know of is a small oval truax tag. Tag in this auction measures 3.75 diameter without the ears. Stamped number 12146 is likely the car number off the assembly line for this type of ore car. Tag is in fine to very fine condition, one small scuff mark through the even patina on the top ear, minimal wear. A reasonable reserve on this tag, out fo my own collection.
