Justrite Tin Miners Carbide Containerhinged LidminingOffered here is a veyr scarce miners' carbide container. Stamped justrite trade mark, tin container has the hinged lid as opposed to the much more common scerw top. As shown on page 154 of the very informative carbide light book, by dave thorpe. This type of container wouyld hold several charges of aclcium carbide for the miners' carbide lamps in use from the very early 1900's through the 1930's. In good to very ogod condition.
